◊ Blood is an absolutely useless control panel that puts some drops of blood right on your desktop. The drops will float over all your windows and will behave like actual holes in your screen. You may move the drops by dragging them somewhere else or remove them by holding down the option key when you click inside a drop.
◊ If you can bear Blood for more than half an hour, you've earned it.
• Instructions
◊ Note: all changes to Blood’s settings will take effect at next restart.
◊ On/Off turns Blood on and off.
◊ Count lets you change the number of drops to display.
◊ Size lets you change their size.
◊ Show blood at startup tells Blood to show its blood drops during the startup process.
• Warning
◊ The System 7 Finder runs with very little memory. Increasing the number and size of the holes takes up memory, so you may end up with the Finder stuck into a "Not enough memory" message. If this happens just reboot with the extensions disabled, decrease the number and/or size of the holes and try again.
• Version History
◊ 2.0.3 - Added pictures and a contents menu to the online documentation.
◊ 2.0.2 - Cleaned up the code and updated documentation.
◊ 2.01 - Recompiled with latest version of the compiler and updated documentation.
◊ 2.0 - Fixed a few bugs for Owen W. Linzmayer and his new book.
◊ 1.02 - Too many holes could make the Finder go into an endless "Error 25" loop (not enough memory), so both the number and size upper limits have been lowered.
◊ 1.01 - The windows are now updated correctly when a hole is moved or killed, and the Control Panel knows whether Blood is installed or not.
